Access Bangladesh Foundation in association with Social Service Office, Dhamrai Upazila administration observed: “World White Cane Safety Day 2019” on 15 October, 2019 at Upazila premises of Dhamrai, Dhaka. This year the theme of the day is “Use White Cane, assure safety (সাদাছড়ি ব্যবহার করি, নিশ্চিন্তে পথ চলি).” The event was started with a rally led by Social Service Officer. After the rally, a discussion was held in the Social Service Office. Mr. Litan Baruri presented a keynote in the discussion session. Persons with visual impairment and other disabilities, their parents, SHG members, community people were present in the event. This program was supported by Commonwealth Foundation, Sightsavers, and UK Aid.
