Training on World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework, Bank Directive, Disability Inclusion & Accountability Framework, and Commitments on disability inclusion in the Global Disability Summit

Access Bangladesh arranged 3-Day residential training on “World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework, Bank Directive, Disability Inclusion & Accountability Framework, and Commitments on disability inclusion in the Global Disability Summit” for Disabled People’s Organization (DPOs) from 26-28 February, 2020 at Hotel Centre Point, Gulshan, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The main objective of the training is to build capacity of DPOs on the World Bank’s policy framework and its commitments on disability inclusion so that they can conduct advocacy with the World Bank to reduce environmental and social risks of the World Bank’s projects in Bangladesh. In the evening, there was a life sharing session where all participants shared their life experiences. 25 DPO representatives from different districts-Dhaka, Khulna, Chattogram, Dinajpur, Barishal, Pabna, Gazipur and Sylhet were attended. Mr. Md. Monowarul Islam Mamun and Mr. Albert Mollah facilitated the training sessions. The event was supported by the Global Greengrants Fund.
